Image 1: Before
I thought I'd try my hands on on GIMP-ing a picture. The above is the original picture. This picture was taken in PCB, Kelantan circa 3 months ago. There were a couple of kite sellers at the beach and they sold this mini kites for peanuts (RM1 for one). Suitable for small children and people who doesn't have much experience flying a kite. "This one, sure fly one!"
Editing procedures:
1. Firstly, I rotated the image so that the sea looks perfectly horizontal at the horizon.
2. Cropped a little bit around the subject.
3. Then I selected the kid, the kite and the sand.
4. Inverted my selection and blurred the rest of the image.
5. Cloned out some heads that pops up below sand level (the land is slanting down towards the sea.. much to the effects of global warming and errosion).
6. And I think I reduced the size of the image (maybe)...
7. And maybe I should increase the brightness of the picture.
In my opinion, GIMP-ing a picture does take a lot of my time... and it's quite overwhelming (for me) to perfectly alter the image.. like MS has commented.. got some pixelised pixels (huh?)
